DISTINGUISHED members of Bolton’s law fraternity and their guests gathered for their 135th annual dinner a the Platinum Suite at the Bolton Whites Hotel.
They were welcomed by the president of Bolton Law Society, Richard Cornthwaite, and then entertained by Dr Kevin Jones, from the Royal Bolton Hospital, who gave an hilarious after-dinner talk.
There was also a serious side to the evening, when the trainee of the year awards were presented.
The 2014 winner was Alys Horton, of Fieldings Porter Solicitors, first runner-up Lucy Burton, also from Fieldings, and second runner-up, Jacqui Burke, from AFG Law.
