EGG-CELLENT staff at H&T Pawnbrokers collected 300 Easter eggs to donate to poorly children in Bolton.

The store appealed to shoppers to drop in Easter eggs at a donation point in the Newport Street shop.

The eggs will be distributed to Derian House Children’s Hospice, the Royal Bolton Hospital and Farnworth and Kearsley foodbank.

Nicola Merrills, store manager at H&T Bolton, said: “We want to bring a smile and a lovely surprise to as many children in hospital and to those who might not receive Easter eggs as we can this year.”

The collection was part of a nationwide initiative by the pawnbrokers to collect more than 1,000 chocolate eggs across the country for children’s charities and hospitals.
