A CONSTRUCTION company has completed projects worth more than £1 million in the past three months.

The work by Artez, based in Springfield Court, Summerfield Road, Great Lever, includes the completion of a £450,000 project in partnership with Westhoughton firm Forrest.

Artex converted 10,000 sq ft of industrial units into commercial space as well as refurbishing residual commercial accomm-odation at Forrest’s Dodd Lane head office.

Other completions included a residential scheme at Twiss Green Lane in Culcheth, where Artez built a five-bedroom, bespoke designed new-build house using handmade bricks on behalf of a private client and a refurbishment scheme at Albert Road in Widnes, where the firm worked with Jones Lang La Salle and carried out dilapidation and refurbishment works to a high street retail unit with a project value of £70,000.

Artez was set up by Mike Banton in 2010 to provide the market with “holistic construction”, catering for all aspects of projects.

He says he has grown the business to offer clients expertise in funding, planning, project management and the construction of development processes.

“Our business is less than four years old so I’m delighted that we’re already completing such high project values and strengthening our presence in the regional and national markets,” he said.

“This year is shaping up to be a very successful year for the business. We have another seven projects currently on site and many more in the pipeline.”

Mr Banton credits his supply chain for Artez’s success, something he’s built up during a 16-year construction career at businesses including Urban Splash and Artisan.

"We have a fantastic team and subcontractor support network, having developed strong relationships with many of the region's most experienced construction professionals,” he said.

Artez also recently won the multi-million pound deal to be the contractors to the Littlewoods buildings in Liverpool.
