AN IT specialist based in Horwich has won a contract to provide a leading global research network firm with a 24/7 service desk.
Imerja has landed the deal with DANTE (Delivery of Advanced network Technology to Europe) which plans, procures, builds and operates large scale, advanced high-speed networks for global research and education.
This includes the award-winning 500bps pan-European GEANT network. DANTE is fundamental to the success of global research and education collaboration — working in co-operation with the European Commission.
The three-year contract will see Imerja, based at Paragon Business Park, provide a white-labelled service desk, predicting, responding and solving network incidents reported by DANTE’s users, vendors, suppliers and other parties.
The service will be delivered through the Imerja Secure Operations Centre.
Imerja managing director, Ian Jackson, said: “DANTE is a global leader in network technology, and our job is ensure that its world class networks are always running at an optimum level.”
