A LAW firm based in Bolton has beaten off stiff competition to scoop the Young Achiever of the Year Award for the second year in a row at the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards.

Keoghs' disease team - which negotiates claims for work-related illnesses - won three awards at the ceremony in 2013 and it was represented again this year with the same number of nominations in different categories, plus an entry from the firm's complex injury team.

Among them was Keoghs' solicitor Katie Rose, aged 30, who took the young achiever accolade.

"I am absolutely delighted to have been honoured with the award," said Ms Rose. "I owe a huge amount to the team who work around me and support me daily. I am especially grateful for the support and guidance given to me by David Pugh, his confidence in me to develop my own strategic ideas has given me the ability to succeed in this competitive market.”

Parklands, Middlebrook-based Keoghs’ disease team has grown rapidly in recent years – expanding from just five people in 2007 to over 100 – to become one of the dominant forces in the market.

This is not the first time that Keoghs has enjoyed success at the Personal Injury Awards. In 2013 they won an unprecedented three awards on the one night – including Team of the Year and Defendant Lawyer of the Year (David Pugh), adding to the five they have won at the same awards since 2008.
