AN online trendy clothes firm for 16 to 25 year old young women is expanding into new premises in Bolton.

Business partners Anthony Butterworth and Mariya Bharmal are moving the Missbehaver brand from its current base at Alligator Storage in Blackburn Road into a 2,500 sq ft unit in Waters Meeting Road.

The duo, who teamed up after working in the fitness industry, began experimenting selling end of line clothes when they launched MA Style three years ago and ran that business from Bradley Fold Trading Estate on the Bolton-Bury border.

It business took off and they recently acquired Missbehaver from the founder who launched it two years ago.

“We had always dreamed for having a business of our own,” said Mr Butterworth, aged 35, a former pupil of Sharples High School.

“We started selling second hand clothes on Ebay. We made a profit and it was then that our love of selling online started.

Ms Bharmal, aged 31, who lives in Little Lever, added: “It was gradually getting bizarre. When JJB was going into administration a lot of children’s track suits and sportswear came up for grabs and we made money from that.

“We started selling stuff out of a garage and it took over my spare room.”

“I was going to the local post office every day with parcels in my child’s pram.”

“Anthony was working for a local company but he eventually decided to leave his job because we were generating so many sales.”

The duo moved into the Bradley Fold building in 2012 and in the first year turned over £77,000.

They followed that up with a turnover of £130,000 in year two before deciding to acquire Missbehaver.

“We viewed the new premises before Christmas and we are gradually moving all our stock into Waters Meeting Road and everything is going to be based there very soon,” said Mr Butterworth.

“Misshaver is a brand with massive potential and we are thinking about opening an retail outlet. We already employ one person .

“Big at the moment are black ripped jeans, jackets, coats, jumpers, fake fur coats and we had a run on party dresses over Christmas.
