ENTRIES for the Bolton and Bury Business Awards are still open.

But for businesses who find the application process daunting, we have teamed up with thebestof Bolton to to make applying for an award as pain free as possible.

Winning a business award or simply just being shortlisted is a perfect excuse to promote your business.

A special workshop — Awards Are Good For Business a workshop on entering awards and making them work for your business — will be held at Bolton St Catherine's Academy, Monday, July 6.

It is designed primarily with the Bolton and Bury Business Awards in mind but can be transferred to any awards.

It will cover why you should apply, how to fill an application, what the judges are looking for and what the benefit of the award is to your business both from a shortlisting and winning perspective.

There will also be a couple of past winners to explain the benefits of entering. Registration is at 9.15am with a 9.30 start.

The Bolton and Bury awards are in their 10th year and will be held at the Macron on September 10. There are ten categories to chose from.
