A YOUNG mum and businesswoman is celebrating after being nominated for a top award.

Charlene Wallis has been put forward for an EVA — or an Enterprise Vision Award which recognises successful woman in business.

The 26-year-old mum-of-three, who runs Diamond Dazzle hair and accessories stall in Bolton Market, is a finalist in the young entrepreneur category.

She said: "This is a big achievement for me."

Miss Wallis has already secured a contract meaning she is able to accept NHS wig vouchers in exchange for a Dimples full head wig.

The NHS vouchers help people who have suffered hair loss for medical reasons, such as those going through cancer treatment.

Miss Wallis added: "This is very close to my heart as I supported my late father Michael through cancer."

Miss Wallis started her business in a small unit in Bolton Market selling wigs and hair pieces.

She added: "I just kept on working really hard. I want other young mum's out there to recognise that you can live your dream."

The business is available for private wig fittings across Rochdale, Heywood, Bury, Bolton, Wigan and Leigh, for both private and NHS sales.
