THE young businessmen behind a new women's clothing store which sells all its items priced at £6.99 or less say trade has been brisk since it opened.

The new Miss Tempted store is the fourth to be launched by business partners Sharad Jalota and Pritesh Patel, both aged 21, who already have branches in Winsford, Northwich and Preston.

Mr Jalota said that the Bolton branch, which opened yesterday, is the firm's biggest store, and that people were waiting outside to come in even before opening time when it officially opened on Thursday.

He also said that 95 per cent of all products sold in the store are made in Britain.

Mr Jalota: “People might have preconceptions about the quality – but they have all been pleasantly surprised.

“We’ve had customers saying they saw the price structure and thought it was too good to be true but they’ve ended up buying things.

“We are not selling cheap clothes, we’re selling good clothes, cheap.”

One happy shopper was Angela Knox, who bought a dress and top costing £13 as an early 29th birthday present for herself.

Paula Wood, centre manager at Crompton Place said: “It’s an interesting pricing structure and one I’m sure will attract a lot of people to come and have a look.

“We’re delighted to welcome Miss Tempted to Crompton Place and wish them every success with this exciting venture for Bolton.”
