STILL “growing” strong with ambitious plans to capitalise on the enviable success which has propelled them to the status of “Business of the Year”.

That’s Horwich-based IT solutions and managed services provider Imerja Ltd which was launched in 2004 by experienced trio Ian Jackson, managing director, Matt Johnson, operations and services director, and Mark Evans, commercial director.

The company, which has regional offices in Leicestershire and Hertfordshire, is located at the Paragon Business Park in Bolton. Imerja is a specialist IT service provider, delivering technical, engineering, professional and support services.

Its customers include The Royal Mint, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool Women’s and Chelsea & Westminster hospitals and the London boroughs of Lambeth, Redbridge and the City of Westminster The Bolton base provides the nerve centre of Imerja’s service offerings, operating with skilled engineers 24/7 and providing single point of contact services to customers across the UK and overseas.

The business, which employs 67 staff, is currently experiencing a record period of growth, with revenues up more than 50 per cent from the previous year. Critically, growth in turnover has resulted in greater profitability, doubling in the last 12 months alone.

After accepting the “Business of the Year” award, Imerja Ltd managing director Mr Jackson said: “I’m really proud for everyone in the organisation. We have 11 years in now and we’ve been in Bolton for more than eight years. I’m a Wigan lad and we’ve made Bolton our home.

“The last couple of years has brought fantastic growth and we’ve won a number of significant customer contacts, not just in the North West but nationally and predominantly in the public sector. I put all this down to the hard work of the team. We’ve got 11 years in but we’ve still got a lot of growing to do.We have growth plans over the next three years.”
