WORK is progressing on the the new £5 million flagship headquarters of Asons Solicitors near Blackburn Road.
The ambitious project — which originally started in August — has now seen large cranes and diggers arrive on site, which are being used to move rubble and to create the foundations of the building.
The four storey building will sit in a prime location at the major crossroads on the north side of the town centre where Topp Way meets St Peter’s Way.
Work is scheduled to be completed by summer 2016.
The project, designed by Bolton-based architects Bradshaw, Gass & Hope is aiming to help to bring the town centre into a new era of modern architecture and commercial redevelopment.
The building contract has been awarded to Cruden Construction of Warrington.
