SEDDON has appointed Kelly Dew as business development manager for its small works division as it looks to capitalise on its expansion in this high-profile market.

Kelly joins the company from Naylor & Walkden, where she worked for seven years.

She is also joined by two former colleagues of the fit out firm, which entered administration in October, including Gary Peacock who joins Seddon as managing quantity surveyor and David Tinsley who takes up the position of estimator.

These latest appointments follow several high-value contract completions for Bolton-headquartered Seddon, including hotel extensions for Premier Inn in Chester and Oldham, together worth £1.35 million, and projects for Co-operative Food in Fleetwood, Doncaster and Leek.

Kelly will work with Seddon’s ?operations manager Mark Dawson to develop the small works division, including its fit-out offerings, M&E services, painting and decorating and specialist services to external clients.

Mr Dawson said: “The past year has seen us grow strongly as we focus on developing a blended portfolio of framework contracts across the company, and as a result each of the divisions have seen substantial growth, not least of all those in Seddon’s specialist services.”

The latest appointments of Mr Tinsley, Mr Peacock and Ms Dew take the number working in the team to 16.

He added: “The work we have delivered for some of the UK’s biggest brands over the past 12 months demonstrates that we are well placed and resourced to deliver fast track fit-out projects on an incredible variety of schemes.

“Kelly, David and Gary’s appointments come at an exciting time for the division as we seek to expand our services.”

Ms Dew said: “I am delighted to have found a home at Seddon. As a company with more than 100 years of history it is well placed to deliver substantial contracts across the UK and I look forward to adding many more big name brands to its client portfolio.”
