BOLTON West MP Chris Green visited business networking organisation BNI’s Central Chapter at its meeting at the Macron Stadium to talk about the importance of local businesses working together.
The group is the most successful BNI chapter in the North West and passed more than £2.5 million worth of business last year alone. More than 45 members heard Mr Green talk about the Northern Powerhouse and how the Government is investing heavily in connectivity between the major business centres of the North to encourage greater business collaboration.
He talked about how industry is thriving, albeit in a more subtle way than in the past as, whilst the mills have closed, the science and engineering industry is growing. He also commended the members on the great work they do for each other every week and on the amount of business generated.
