FOUR Recruitment is opening a new headquarters in Bolton — and there will be plenty there to keep staff entertained.

The new 3,170sq ft listed farmhouse building is located at Middlebrook Retail Park — and will be fitted out with a chill-out room, a pool table, televisions, a pamper zone and an outdoor entertainment area for barbecues.

The company has signed a 10 year lease at Lower House Farm, just off junction six of the M61 motorway. The building is owned and managed by Orbit Developments.

Lower House Farm is a listed farmhouse providing a total of 3,170sq ft — around six times larger than their current headquarters located at Hamill House.

Four is working with Chorley based SDA Architects and Manchester based Northstar who are recreating the interior of the space.

It will include a striking new reception area, large open plan office space with areas for internal meetings, and a new training room to enable the company to train and develop new consultants.

There will also be external meeting rooms and a boardroom, a staff chill-out room and a fully equipped kitchen.

It will also feature an outdoor entertainment area with seating, and barbecue to enable them to host a variety of employee and client events.

Operations director Phil Sofield said: “We have wanted to move to our own self contained office for a number of years, but haven’t been able to find the right space or location.

"Lower House Farm provides us with plenty of growing space and the opportunity to offer a workspace that is totally unique for our current and future employees.

“It is perfectly located allowing us to be close to our Manchester and Blackburn offices and centrally located for client and employee meetings.

"It will provide us with a flagship headquarters and the training facilities to enable us to achieve our anticipated 75 per cent growth over the next 12 months.”

Simon Clarke-Williams, Director at Orbit Developments added: "Lower House Farm is a building with plenty of character and we are pleased we could assist Four in finding a property which matched their requirements perfectly.

"We have seen the designs for the new reception and break-out areas and look forward to seeing these ideas become a reality and for Four make the space their own.

"We wish them the very best of luck for the future."

Four will move into Lower House Farm at the beginning of April.
