GAME of Thrones-obsessed parents can now put their own little lords and ladies on the Iron Throne.

Farnworth-based baby goods firm Cosatto is producing five ‘Dinner is Coming’ highchairs for fans of the hit fantasy series.

The chairs, which are either being given away on social media or raffled off for charity, feature the design of the Iron Throne of Westeros — the iconic seat of power coveted by the likes of Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister.

Hardcore fans of the show at Cosatto came up with the design as a joke, but decided to turn it into a reality for five lucky winners.

Lauren Clark, the firm’s PR coordinator, said: “Our design team is completely obsessed with Game of Thrones, we spent a lot of time talking about it and discussing our theories.

“As a joke, someone came up with this Iron Throne design and put it on a highchair – we all thought it was amazing and said that it was something we should do for real.

“We posted it on social media and got a huge reaction, everybody loved it.

“We are so pleased with how well the idea has gone down, especially because it is going to help our partnered charity.”

Two of the chairs are being given away to Cosatto’s Facebook fans, and another on Instagram.

The company has also launched a Just Giving fundraising page to raffle off one of the chairs, from which all of the proceeds will go to the charity Baby Lifeline.

More than £900 has already been raised on the page, smashing the £185 target in just 20 minutes after it was set up.

She added: “We knew there would be a good reaction due to the initial design we posted, but nowhere near what we actually received on the day of the first giveaway.

“We totted up over 20,000 impressions on the Facebook post, with some people even saying they’d make another baby just to get their hands on one. We loved it — we might have even caused a mini baby boom.

“We have been overwhelmed with the response and we will definitely look at doing something like this again.”

The final giveaways — one of which will also be done via eBay — will be taking place at the start of next week, celebrating the HBO show’s highly-anticipated season finale.
