Leading Edge Supplies was established in September 2016, because CEO Gareth Kirkpatrick, felt that the established players in the industry were taking their customers for granted, and firmly believed that everyone should have access to the best products, at the best price, with the ultimately the best possible service.

It’s a venture that has certainly come with its challenges, for the husband and father of 2 teenage boys. With long working hours often feeling as though the day was 24/7, it’s has been positively helpful that his devoted wife Cassie Kirkpatrick, and the boys, along with all their friends and family have been able to give their time to help. In addition to this Manufacturers have helped realise the full potential of Leading Edge, and of course, customers have shown great loyalty and support for the success and growth of the business.

Having worked within the flooring industry for nearly 20 years, for some of the household brand named companies, Gareth has been able to build a network of trusted contacts and also build a rapport with his customer base, a lot of whom are repeat customers because they trust him and believe in his business model. “Being honest and trustworthy goes a long way in this business, everyone starts somewhere and we value all of our customers just the same, whether they’re a sole traders, or a larger corporate organisation.”

Basic principles, the best products, prices and services have been the main reasons behind the success of Leading Edge, in its first profitable year, which is why the Trade Hub opened on 12th March 2018. “Bolton has always been our home we have moved away for a time and travelled the globe for work, but there is no place like home.” Gareth Kirkpatrick

So what’s next for Leading Edge Supplies, well expansion of course! The team will be growing in the near future, to take the product range to market across the UK, and also the trade hubs will grow to allow better coverage nationwide.
