ARTS groups are being asked to compete for a £10,000 cash prize offered in the name of one of Bolton’s greatest businessmen and benefactors.
Bolton-born William Lever, later to become Lord Leverhulme, built up what is now known as Unilever.
The 2010 Lever Prize is now officially open for entries and business bosses are calling North West arts organisations to take part.
The North West Business Leadership Team, a group of influential business leaders, awards the Lever Prize each year to a North West cultural organisation as part of its work to improve the region.
