Hotel excels at customer service

WHEN they discover the mystery shopper has been and gone many business fear the worst but not the Premier Inn, Bolton.

For the budget hotel, on Chorley New Road, Bolton, received a certificate for receiving the highest customer service rating in the region following the mystery shopper’s visit, commissioned by the National Skills Academy for Hospitality.

The hotel scored 95 per cent in the survey — against an average of 70 per cent in the North West.

The North West hospitality and tourism industry employs 192,700 people and contributes £3,246 million gross value added to the economy per year, making it a significant contributor to the wealth of both the region and the nation.

In these difficult times the hospitality industry becomes more important as research suggests that the North West sector will seek to recruit almost 60,000 people into this industry over the coming year.

The mystery shopper visit showed that the teams had excelled right across the customer service spectrum leaving the visitor with a positive memory and a desire to visit and tell their friends.
