BUSINESS confidence has improved significantly according to Greater Manchester Chamber’s latest quarterly economic survey.
The survey found overseas orders had improved for manufacturing and there had been no further deterioration in the UK market. Manufacturers had also seen significant improvements in cash flow and confidence.
Ilona Krohn, principal economic adviser at Greater Manchester Chamber, said: “There has been a marked improvement in business confidence, despite continued deeply negative indicators across the board.
“Construction and manufacturing continue to suffer. Our survey seems to reflect the fact that confidence is starting to return after all the doom and gloom earlier this year.”
