A HIGH-tech telecom business had a special guest during an open day.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Cllr Norman Critchley and his wife Delyse dropped in to officially open Digicomm’s new offices at Lostock Office Park, in Horwich.
The telecom company was launched in a bedroom just eight years ago. It now supplies and services customers from the north of Scotland to Cornwall.
Digicomm has expanded so much that it has outgrown its old terraced properties in Halliwell Road and moved to a bigger site in the office park Owner Mark Pollitt invited the Mayor to officially open the new offices which give the company room to expand in the future.
The company supplies a wide range of telecom equipment, including phone systems, computer networks, cabling and reduced charges for calls and lines for mainly SMEs.
It supplies companies nationwide and looks set to break into the international market this year, through a network of global partners.
The open day was a way of showing clients and would-be customers how the business operates and how the company could help them.
