FALLING dairy and meat costs saw food price inflation drop to its lowest level for 14 months in June, a report said.
Reductions in fresh produce caused a 5.6 per cent rise in the cost of food last month compared to a year before, according to the latest British Retail Consortium Nielsen Shop Price Index.
The figure was down from 6.4 per cent in May and the report predicted that food price inflation was likely to keep falling.
