BOLTON Wanderers’ players, manager and fans are supporting the club’s latest “signing”.
For Holland’s Pies, one of the region’s main producers of pies and puddings, is now supplying the Wanderers’ faithful with their range of “big eat” pies, thanks to a new contract won with the club.
In fact, the company already supplies fresh pies to a range of top-flight sports clubs, including soccer teams Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley.
Gareth Moores, commercial director of Bolton Wanderers, said: “We go to great lengths to ensure that supporters enjoy every aspect of their visit to the Reebok Stadium.
“In Holland’s Pies, we’ve found a supply partner which will meet our exacting demands for the highest quality of food and service.
“Holland’s enjoys an iconic status in the North West, so I’m sure the fans will be very encouraged by our latest signing.” Neil Court-Johnston, managing director of Holland’s Pies, said: “We’re delighted to be the number one pie choice for Bolton Wanderers.
“This is a great traditional Lancashire club with a strong identity in the top flight of football.
“Holland’s is another Lancashire ‘treasure’ and we’re proud to be the fans’ favourite pie.
“My promise is to deliver the best-tasting pies again and again and I’m delighted to welcome Bolton Wanderers to our ever-growing Premier League family.”
Among the products to be sold from the start of the new season will be Holland’s new cheese and onion pie — approved by the Vegetarian Society.
Holland’s employs 370 people at its Lancashire base and is part of Northern Foods.
The company enjoys a 60 per cent share of the market in the North West, an area where 92 per cent of people have heard of Holland’s Pies.
