APPRENTICES from Bolton MBDA missile factory will be helping young people to manufacture their own mother’s day presents.
The budding young engineers and manufacturers visiting a careers fair this week will be able to get to grips with electronics to make special mother’s day tea lights, and use vinyl cutting machinery to make ‘Super Mum’ badges.
Youngsters are being given the chance to see the practical side of engineering at this week’s Big Bang Fair in Manchester.
Helping to run the activities are young apprentices from Bolton’s MBDA, and Sellafield’s Capenhurst site, near Chester.
The fair also plays host to the National Science and Engineering Competition, showcasing science and engineering projects entered by 11-18 year-olds.
The fair takes place at Manchester Central from today until Saturday.
