BOLTON solicitors got the chance to question one of the UK’s leading lawyers, as part of a nationwide conference series organised by Yorkshire Bank.
Peter Scott, the former managing partner of top London and European law firm Eversheds, was the key speaker on a national teleconference hosted by Yorkshire Bank on the subject of how legal practices need to change following the recession.
Around six law firms from in and around Bolton joined Yorkshire Bank’s managing partner Kevin Hughes to question Mr Scott on how the sector needs to be able to respond to the differing needs of clients following the economic downturn.
Kevin Hughes, managing partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Financial Solutions Centre, in Princess Street, Bolton, said the teleconference was a great opportunity for local law firms to quiz one of the UK’s top legal professionals.
Mr Hughes said: “Peter was able to pass on a wealth of experience and insight gained from his career at a leading international legal practice.”
