WINNERS from the Bolton and Bury Business Awards celebrated their success at a special reception.
This year’s winners and last year’s highly commended businesses and sponsors mingled at a town centre restaurant enjoying a finger food buffet reception.
The guests met at the Chinese Buffet in Bridge Street, owned by Peter Wu, who won the Business Person of the Year award at last month’s business awards.
The fifth Bolton and Bury Business Awards, sponsored by Bolton Council, along with local businesses, and organised by The Bolton News and Bury Times, attracted around 500 distinguished business guests.
At the post-awards get together, Mr Wu was presented with a canvas mounted photograph of himself at the reception by fellow winners Smithills School, who won the Schools Enterprise category at the awards.
The school set up Printzone at with a £10,000 loan so pupils can produce high quality printing on a variety of surfaces, including canvas box frames.
Keith Davies, head of regeneration and development at Bolton Council, paid tribute to the many businesses in the town and said how successful and important the awards had become for the business calendar.
Mr Wu said he was delighted with his unexpected gift of a box canvas mounted photograph of himself, which he will display in the restaurant.
