Warning over fake Scottish banknotes in Horwich

POLICE are warning Horwich businesses to be on the lookout for fake Scottish £50 notes.

There have been several recent reports of counterfeit Scottish notes being in circulation in Horwich and police are urging people to check notes.

The notes found to be fake had a silver line drawn on in pen and the usually embossed silver or blue emblem is stamped on and green.
