POLICE are trying to trace the rightful owner of a stolen mountain bike.

The bicycle was recently seized by police in Bolton, and they have now issued a photograph of the bike in the hope that someone will recognise it.

Anyone who thinks the bike is theirs is asked to call police with their name, address, contact details and details of where and when the bike was stolen.

When I once had a similar situation (obviously stolen bike but no complainant) I did a photo in the local paper, turned out the bike was taken only a couple of hundred metres from where it was seized.
