POLICE have seized nearly £30,000 from a gun and drug custodian who was jailed last month.
A court upheld GMP's seizure of £28,950 from Nicky Lomax, who had been convicted of looking after a pistol, stun gun, £5,500 of cocaine and the cash in a flat in Halliwell.
Bolton Central neighbourhood policing team posted on Facebook: "£28,950 taken from Nicky Lomax, 28, of Stowell Court, Halliwell, Bolton, after court rules money connected to unlawful conduct #GMPpayback."
Lomax, aged 28, of Stowell Court, Halliwell, was jailed for seven-and-a-half years at Bolton Crown Court on October 16.
He said he was looking after them for other people, but refused to disclose their identities.
Lomax, who has a partner and one young son, answered "no comment" to every question in police interview.
They raided the flat containing the haul, which was two doors away from Lomax's home, on May 27 this year.
