A MAN has denied stabbing a father outside the gates of a primary school.

Barry Parkes denies wounding with intent in relation to an incident outside North Walkden Primary School on November 28 in which 33-year-old parent Steven Higginson was stabbed.

He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary but later discharged.

Parkes, aged 42, of Vestris Drive, Salford, entered his plea at a hearing at Manchester Crown Court yesterday.
