THE following people have appeared in court in Bolton in the last few days.

Farnworth man damaged car

A FARNWORTH man who admitted causing £100 worth of damage to a car has been given a conditional discharge.

Michael Evans, aged 30, of King Street, was ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a surcharge of £15 during a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court on Monday, following the incident which happened on April 4.

Little Lever man accused of assaulting woman

A LITTLE Lever man will appear in court accused of assaulting a woman.

Ryan Ridings, aged 40, of Ladyshore Road, is also accused of damaging items worth £730 belonging to the alleged victim.

Ridings pleaded not guilty at a hearing on Monday, and will next appear before Bolton Magistrates Court on June 18.

Man gets restraining order

A MAN must adhere to a restraining order after admitting assaulting a woman.

Dean Kirkman, of Rawson Road, off Chorley Old Road, must not contact the victim and must not enter Brunswick Avenue in Horwich, following the incident on April 7.

Kirkman, aged 37, was also fined £100 and must pay a surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 following the hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court, on Monday.

Man assaulted woman

A MAN who admitted assaulting a woman will be sentenced on April 20.

Sufyan Umar, of Nottingham Drive, Bolton, pleaded guilty to the incident, which took place on April 4, at a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court on Monday.

Man stole perfume from Debenhams

A MAN who stole nearly £300 worth of perfumes from Debenhams has been fined.

Shohal Patel, aged 23, of East Way, stole the fragrances worth £290.50 on April 3. He also admitted possessing cannabis on the same day.

Following a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, Patel was fined a total of £160 and must pay a surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Motorbike thief tagged

A MAN must wear an electronic tag after admitting stealing a motorbike worth £3,500.

Daniel Leach, aged 24, of Turton Street, Bolton, stole the Kawasaki motorbike on April 12.

Following a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, Leach was given a community order, and was made the subject of an electronically monitored curfew from 7pm to 7am.

Leach must also pay compensation of £200 and costs of £85.

Farnworth drink driver banned

A FARNWORTH man has been banned from driving for a year after being caught over the limit at the wheel.

Stewart Crowther admitted drink driving when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court on April 14.

He was caught by police in Wren Close, Bolton on April 5.

Crowther, aged 63, of Tern Avenue, was also fined £140, and told to pay court costs of £105.

Thug attacked Yates' worker 

A HEATON man has been jailed for 16 weeks for attacking a member of staff in Yates's with a weapon.

John Chadwick, aged 49, of Chorley Old Road, was charged with assault after an incident in the Bradshawgate bar on April 3.

At the time, Chadwick was serving a community order for another assault committed when he had been drinking, Bolton Magistrates' Court was told at a hearing on April 14.

Chadwick, who pleaded guilty, was also asked to pay £185 in costs.
