SUSPECTED drug dealers arrested following a police raid have appeared in court.

The men were charged in the wake of the Operation Challenger activities held on Thursday.

It saw 200 police officers from Greater Manchester Police burst into more than 20 homes across Bolton in a crackdown on alleged class A drug dealing in Bolton town centre.

The defendants who appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court the next day were: 

Navid Ahmed, 34, of Harbury Close, Hulton, accused of one count of supplying cocaine.

John Angus, 33, Wingates Grove, Westhoughton, accused of two counts of supplying cocaine.

David Cunniff, 32, of St Helens Road, Daubhill, accused of six counts of supplying cocaine and one of possession with intent to supply.

Yasin Gajra, 34, of Kirkhope Walk, Halliwell, accused of four counts of supplying cocaine.

Ryan Greenhalgh, 23, of Clammerclough Road, Kearsley, accused of three counts of supplying cocaine. 

Ashley MacDonald, 31, of Wilmot Street, Halliwell, accused of two counts of supplying cocaine.

Yusuf Malji, 21, of Haynes Street, Daubhill, accused of five counts of supplying cocaine.

Maksud Mohamed, 43, of Heaton Grange Drive, Heaton, accused of five counts of supplying cocaine.

Mubaruk Patel, 31, of Gladstone Street, Bolton, accused of supplying cocaine and possession of criminal property in the form of £16,967.

David Richardson, 39, of Strawberry Hill Road, Bolton, accused of three counts of supplying cocaine.

All had their cases sent to Bolton Crown Court where they are scheduled to appear on October 2.

Some defendants were remanded back in custody and others were granted bail.
