TWO men have been charged with paying for sex with a victim of human trafficking.

Ashgar Karwa, aged 60, of St Helens Road, Daubhill, was charged with engaging in exploitative conduct of a kind likely to induce or encourage a prostitute to provide sexual services in the expectation of gain for another person.

Karwa appeared at Bolton Magistrates on October 27, and the case was adjourned.

He is alleged to have have made a payment of £40 for the sexual services of a prostitute.

Donald Edward Andrews, aged 72, of Moorland Road, Ashton-In-Makerfield, faces the same charge.

He is due to appear at Wigan Magistrates court on November 11.

Between January 1 and April 27, the two men are alleged to have paid to have sex with a woman who was a victim of sex trafficking, police said.

The charges relate to the ongoing investigation into the sex trafficking of two women around the North West of England.
