A HATCHBACK stolen from a Westhoughton street was used in a daring ram-raid on a warehouse.

The 09-reg black Peugeot 308 was taken from Hydrangea Close on Friday September 25.

Later that evening the burglars drove the vehicle at shutters in order to smash their way into a storage unit in Middleton police have declined to identify.

Security camera footage caught two thieves shuttling back and forth three times with their loot.

They stole more than £250,000 worth of electrical items including iPhones and iPads.

GMP has now released CCTV images in a bid to identify the criminals who carried out the burglary.

Detective Constable Claire Bracey, of Rochdale division, said: "Thieves targeted the warehouse and brazenly returned throughout the night to steal as much as they could.

"We have now releasing images of the people they want to speak to in connection with this incident and I would urge you to contact police if you recognise them."

The Peugeot was only reported stolen the day after it was taken from the new-build cul-de-sac - by which time the ram raid had already long happened.

No arrests have been made.

One of the men pictured getting into the stolen car was a white man wearing a dark zip-up top with grey arms and raised grey hood, black shorts, sock and black trainers, and gloves.

His accomplice was white and wore a dark puffed jacket, with the hood up, and white gloves.
