GOOD SAMARITAN: Philip Caswell helped Indian restaurant owners board up their back door after a previous burglary
A MAN who appeared in the Most Wanted gallery on Wednesday (Nov 17) has had no further action taken against him by police.
Philip Caswell was sought in connection with a burglary at an Indian restaurant in Horwich.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed Mr Caswell has been ruled out of their enquiries after it emerged he had in fact helped the owners of the restaurant board up their back door after a previous burglary that went unreported to police.
A spokesman said: "As a result there will obviously be no further action taken against him and it would appear he was in fact a Good Samaritan."
