A 19-year-old who assaulted and threatened a schoolboy has been told he must carry out unpaid work and be subject to a tagged curfew.
At Bolton Magistrates' Court Timothy Pope, aged 19, of Colmore Grove, Tonge Moor, pleaded guilty to committing the offences on June 4.
The court heard how Pope was under the influence of cannabis and was part of a group when he attacked the boy, aged 14.
He was sentenced to a 20 week 7pm to 7am curfew and must carry out 240 hours unpaid work.
In addition he must pay £100 compensation and £340 in costs and charges.
