Man’s community order after assaulting woman 

A HORWICH man was given a community order after admitting assaulting a woman.

Christopher Larkin, aged 26, of Grosvenor Way, also admitted taking a car without the consent of its owner and driving a car without insurance.

He was fined a total of £310 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £300 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Order breach leads to a fortnight in jail

AN Astley Bridge man has been sent to prison for breaching a restraining order.

Damon Denton, aged 31, of Cardell Gardens, Blackburn Road, was sent to prison for two weeks because it was the third breach of the order.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and a criminal courts charge of £180 by Bolton magistrates.

Man assaults woman  

A BREIGHTMET man was given a 12 month conditional discharge after admitting assaulting a woman.

Darren Collier, aged 27, of Yewdale Avenue, was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and courts charge of £150 by Bolton magistrates.

Driver of stolen car spared jail 

A LITTLE Lever man has been spared jail for driving a stolen car.

Officers stopped a Volkswagen Fox in Pilsworth Road, Bury, on November 13 and questioned Adam Lowe, aged 25, of New Riven Court.

The car had been stolen in a burglary three days earlier and had false number plates.

Lowe appeared before Bury magistrates on November 16 and admitted assisting in the disposal of stolen goods, driving without a licence and without insurance and contravening a court order by being in the company of Danielle Roberts.

He was given a 24-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £345 in fines and court costs.

Restraining order breached

A WOMAN was sentenced to a community order for breaching a restraining order.

Lisa Boydell, aged 39, of St George's Avenue, Daisy Hill, was fined £20 by Bolton magistrates and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminals courts charge of £180.

Assault results in community order

A TONGE Moor man was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work after being found guilty of assaulting a woman.

Dominic Carson aged 27, of Hillfield Walk, was sentenced to a community order and was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £420 and a criminal courts charge of £520 by Bolton magistrates.
