A FRIEND of stabbing victim Carlton Alexander has had his sentencing for affray adjourned until the summer.
Stephen Nambwe, aged 21, of High Street, Great Lever, pleaded guilty to affray after being involved in the sequence of events that ended with Mr Alexander sustaining fatal stab wounds in Brightmeadow Close, Breightmet, in the early hours of December 13 last year.
Nambwe admitted affray at Bolton Magistrates' Court on December 17 and the magistrates sent the matter for sentence to Bolton Crown Court.
The hearing was scheduled to take place yesterday but the case was adjourned and transferred to Manchester Crown Court.
Nambwe will now be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court after the culmination of the trial of Ross Ashcroft, who stands accused of murdering Mr Alexander.
Ashcroft, aged 31, of no fixed address but formerly of Leonard Street, Great Lever, is due to enter a plea in March.
