A ROBBER fled with cash and cigarettes after holding up a newsagents and threatening to stab the manager.
The intruder - who was wearing blue disposable surgical gloves - struck at Martin's Newsagents in Entwistle Street, Tonge Moor, on Monday at shortly before 5.30am.
He threatened to stab the shop manager if the worker did not let him inside.
Once inside, the offender pushed the staff member to the staff area and forced him to open a safe.
The raider then emptied the safe and made off with cash and cigarettes.
Bolton police's Detective Constable Phil Warburton said: "This offender covered his face and wore gloves to conceal his identity, therefore we need the public's help to track him down.
"He was wearing bright blue surgical gloves which were quite distinctive.
"A substantial amount of money was taken, meaning someone may have noticed a family member or friend who suddenly has readily available cash."
