Unpaid work for woman’s attacker

MAGISTRATES ordered a man who admitted assaulting a woman to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Lee Billington, aged 27, of Shepley Avenue, Deane, was sentenced to a community order and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85 by Bolton magistrates.

Woman guilty of cab damage

A WOMAN has appeared in court over damaging the side of a taxi.
Jennifer Molyneux hit the nearside rear wing of a car belonging to cab driver Shehzad Khan, causing £200 of repairs, on February 21.
The 26-year-old, of Radcliffe Road, The Haulgh, admitted criminal damage at Bolton Magistrates' Court.
She was given a 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £200 compensation.

Man must do unpaid work

A FARNWORTH man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after admitting contacting a woman after a restraining order was imposed.
Adam Kirkpatrick, aged 21, of Buckley Lane, must complete 60 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months, and must also pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85 by Bolton magistrates.

Curfew given after assault

MAGISTRATES ordered a Great Lever man to observe a curfew after he admitting assaulting another man.
Touseef Khan, aged 30, of Hawker Avenue, must observe a curfew from 8pm to 6am for 15 weeks, and must also complete 150 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Bolton magistrates ordered Khan to pay compensation of £150, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £350.

Man handled stolen bicycle

A 27-YEAR-OLD has been sentenced for getting handling an expensive specialist stolen pushbike the day after Boxing Day.
David Toole, of Dunoon Drive, Smithills, took into his possession the stolen bicycle, a model by manufacturer Giant worth £1,299, on December 27.
He admitted handling stolen goods at Bolton Magistrates' Court and was sentenced the same day.
Toole was given a 12-week community order with a 7pm to 7am electronically-tagged curfew.
He has to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and prosecution courts of £85.

Man admitted assault charge

A FARNWORTH man who admitted assaulting a woman has been ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol dependency.
Liam Mullineaux, aged 26, of Harper Green Road, was sentenced to a community order and must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Bolton magistrates also ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £680, as he had previously pleaded not guilty.

Work order for assaulting PC

MAGISTRATES sentenced a Horwich man who admitted assaulting a police officer and a detention officer to unpaid work.
Gareth Foy, aged 24, of Hartley Street, must complete 50 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Bolton magistrates also fined him £85 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £60.

Man assaulted woman 

MAGISTRATES conditionally discharged a man who admitted assaulting a woman.
Zak Mortimer, aged 35, of Begonia Avenue, Farnworth, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must also pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85 following a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court.
