RAMRAIDERS smashed their way into a cash and carry before stealing more than £23,000.

Police are appealing to find the trio in hooded tops and gloves arrived in a van and broke a padlock off the main gate of Cambrian Business Park, off Derby Street, Deane, at 11.45pm on June 2.

They then smashed open the shutters of ADZ Food Distribution Ltd by ramming them at high speed.

The men entered the shop floor and ransacked the warehouse and two offices, stealing a safe containing at least £23,500 takings, van keys and a till system.

Mohammad Idrees, director, said: "They looked professional because they knew exactly what they were doing, where to go and where the safe was.

"We feel bitter because we're hard working people, working 15 or 16 hours a day, seven days a week."

After the burglary the van was driven off along Derby Street and through a red light before turning into High Street, Great Lever.

Detective Constable Chris Hickey said: "These men have caused a lot of damage to the building and taken a significant amount of money, which will take the business owners a lot of time to recover from.

"If anyone has any information about the incident or recognises the men in the footage please contact police as soon as possible."

The burglars were all wear hooded top with their hooded tops and gloves and one was wearing a baseball cap underneath his hood.

On the CCTV footage they can be seen rifling through drawers on a desk in the office and throwing furniture out of the way.

Mr Idrees said the value of the stolen items and the damage - which is only just finished being repaired - comes to a total £40,000.
