POLICE investigating a violent robbery have released e-fit images of three men.

At about 8.30pm on Friday, May 5, two women were home alone in Mabel Avenue, Great Lever, when they heard a knock on the front door.

They heard a man ask if they had a moped but one of the victims said no before the man walked off.

Five minutes later, four men entered the house through the back door.

One of them grabbed one of the women and pulled off her jewellery while another went upstairs to steal jewellery from the bedrooms.

A third man then held one of the women down on the floor before kneeling on her stomach. A violent struggle took place, ripping her clothes.

All the offenders then fled the property out of the back door and down a side alley.

They were then witnessed driving off in a dark coloured Audi A4 that was parked on Leverhulme Avenue.

Detective constable Dave Harris, from Bolton’s CID team, said: "This was terrifying for the victims and they are now understandably frightened in their own home.

"We have released these images in the hope that someone recognises the men. If you think they look familiar then please contact us immediately.

"Alternatively, if you have any information about the incident or believe you might have witnessed something then please also get in touch."

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 2121 of May 5, 2017.
