A NUMBER of thefts from vehicles have been reported in the Horwich and Blackrod area.

A car was broken into at Brooklands and £6 in cash was stolen on Thursday, August 17, between midnight and 7am.

Overnight on August 18 a set of secured ladders and padlocks were stolen from the roof of a vehicle parked in Whitehall Lane in Blackrod.

On Monday, August 28 a key, ID card and mobile phone accessories were all stolen from a vehicle in Captain Street overnight.

Two vehicles were targeted on Tuesday, August 29, the first had its driver's window smashed with a brick between 5am and 5.30am when it was parked in Wright Street, Horwich, and £40 in cash was stolen.

Then at 5.30am in nearby Summer Street, a passenger window of another car was smashed, and a wallet, a driving licence and £30 in cash was stolen.

The last break-in was on Wednesday, August 30, when a vehicle was parked in Manchester Road in Blackrod had unspecified items stolen between midnight and 7am.
