AN investigation has been launched following a small spate of bin fires in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Bolton were called to Malton Avenue in Deane at 1.55am where five wheelie bins were set alight.
Crews stopped the flames spreading to a neighbouring property but also had to deal with a further wheelie bin fire in the adjoining Hulton Lane.
It is believed the fires are connected and were started deliberately.
Bolton watch manager Tony McKenna added: "The crew did a good job to stop the fire spreading to the property.
"When we arrived we also discovered a further fire behind the property in Hulton lane.
"Police will be investigating further."
