A BUSY road had to be shut today after a crash caused by black ice.
Police closed Buckley Lane, which connects Farnworth and Little Hulton, after a minor collision involving three cars on Thursday morning so that the road could be gritted.
There were no injuries reported in the crash, but traffic police shut the road as a precaution after it had not been gritted by Salford Council the previous night.

One lane of the road was shut for a couple of hours between Tennyson Road and Cleggs Lane, meaning traffic could not travel from Farnworth towards Little Hulton.
Police tweeted that at least two drivers were ticketed for ignoring the road closure.
