A YOUNG man was assaulted in a field near Derby Street, Bolton.
Police confirmed they were called to the incident in an area next to Rasbottom Street close to Bolton town centre, at around 3pm yesterday (April 3rd).
The victim, who is described as between his teenage years and early 20s, was taken away by an ambulance.
He is now in Royal Bolton Hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries to the back of his head.
Several people were involved in the incident but no arrests have been made, said police
