A SECOND person has been charged with the murders Paul Massey and John Kinsella.
Steven Boyle, aged 35, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
He has been remanded to appear before Liverpool Magistrates Court today.
Mr Boyle, from Sandiway, Heywood, was one of six people arrested this week as part of a joint operation between Greater Manchester Police and Merseyside Police.
Mark Fellows, aged 37, has also been accused of the same three counts.
Mr Massey, aged 55, know as Salford's Mr Big, was shot dead at his home in Manchester Road, Clifton in July 2015 and a murder investigation was launched.
John Kinsella, aged 53, died after he was shot while walking his dog with his partner on a footpath close to the M62 in Rainhill, Merseyside on Saturday, May 5.
The offender, who was reportedly on a pedal bike, was also alleged to have fired the gun at Mr Kinsella's partner as she fled.
The five other people arrested in connection with both deaths have been released under investigation.
Fellows was due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court on Saturday.
On Saturday night another man, aged 35, was arrested on suspicion of the murders of Paul Massey and John Kinsella. He remains in custody for questioning, say GMP.
