Charity night success

A CHARITY event organised by a cancer sufferer has raised £700 for the Christie Hospital.
Frances Douglas, aged 47, of Kingthorpe Gardens, Great Lever, was diagnosed with lung cancer seven years ago and was treated at the Manchester hospital for two years.
She is now in remission and wanted to raise some cash for the hospital as a thank you.
A disco with entertainment from singer Jessica Barbour was held at the Hawkers Social Club in Gladstone Road, Farnworth on Friday night.
