LESS than half the workforce in the North-west is confident of keeping their job, a new survey has found.
A TUC report has revealed that only 45 per cent of workers in the region felt “very confident” that they would be in their current job in a year’s time.
An estimated 14 per cent are not confident that they will be working for their current employer over the next 12 months.
Union chiefs have warned that the number of unemployed people could hit three million if the economic downturn becomes a severe recession.
