Call to stop hospital parking fees

CAR parking charges at NHS hospitals should be abolished, says North West MEP John Whittaker.

“These are not places for fun. People are frequently worried sick about their loved ones, or their own health, and it is wrong that they should have to pay to park.

“With the hike in fuel prices, just getting to hospitals such as Bolton is a problem for many people and parking fees are an extra burden they can ill afford to meet,” said Mr Whittaker, who represents the UK Independence Party.
