ORGANISERS of a charity walk in aid of St Ann’s Hospice are planning to reward the highest fundraiser with their own star.
Those taking part in the Manchester Midnight Walk are being given the chance to have a real star named after them.
Walkers who hit the highest amount of sponsorship by September 10 will join the likes of actor Tom Hanks and rock-singer Mick Jagger, who all have stars named in their honour.
The charity, which is based in Little Hulton, is one of the largest adult hospices in the UK providing specialist care for people with life-threatening illnesses and support for their carers.
The walk will see thousands of fundraisers complete a 10k walk around Manchester’s city centre on Friday, July 2.
Anyone who signs up, by visiting manchestermidnight walk.org.uk, before March 26 can register for £12 (£15 thereafter).
